💁🏻 Concept: Cessationism / Cessationist
A cessationist is someone who believes that certain miraculous spiritual gifts ceased when the apostles died and Scripture was complete.
 

📖 Bible Readings: 1 Corinthians 12:7-11
(1 Corinthians 13:8-10; Hebrews 2:3-4; Ephesians 2:20; Mark 16:17-18; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11; Acts 2:17-18; James 5:14-16; John 14:12)

👨🏻‍💻 Teachings:
Cessationism teaches that miracles, prophecies, and tongues ceased after the apostolic era. 
Cessationism helps balance extreme practices.
Cessationism itself can be an extreme belief. 

💪🏼 Applications:
Do not put God inside the box.
Pursue biblical view on miracles. 
Be cautious of modern-day apostles and prophets.

Why is it important to be humble and open to God’s miraculous work while being cautious of dreams, visions, prophecies, healing, and other false teachings?

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your wisdom and truth. Help me to trust in Your power while remaining grounded in Your Word. I recognize that I cannot put You in a box—you are far beyond my imagination. I pray, Lord, that I may discern Your work according to the guidance of Your Word. Give me wisdom so that I may avoid deception. Let my faith be strong, balanced, and biblical. Open my heart to the wonders You still do today while keeping me cautious of false teachings. May I seek You above all things, relying on Your Spirit for wisdom. Help me to test all things through Scripture and walk in truth. Thank You for Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
