💁🏻 Concept: Dichotomy
The theory of dichotomy teaches that human beings consist of two essential parts: body and spirit. The terms soul and spirit are used interchangeably in Scripture, referring to the same immaterial part of man. The soul/spirit is what continues after death and is ultimately reunited with the body in the resurrection (1 Cor. 15:42-44). Unlike trichotomy, which separates the soul and spirit, dichotomy affirms the unity of our immaterial being in relationship with God.

📖 Bible Readings: Genesis 2:7
(Genesis 1:26-27; 2:7, 21-23; Luke 1:46-47; Isaiah 26:9; Matthew 6:25, 10:28; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Ecclesiastes 12:7; 1 Corinthians 15:42-44)

🎙Discussion:
How does knowing that you will live forever change the way you live now?

🙏🏼 Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for making me both body and spirit, fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image. Help me to see life through the lens of eternity, knowing that my life belongs to You. Keep me from living only for what is temporary, and guide my heart to seek Christ, who alone secures my salvation. As I wait for the final resurrection, strengthen me to honor You in both body and spirit. May I walk in wisdom, serve with purpose, and glorify You in all that I do. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
