💁🏻 Concept: Ekklesia
The term ekklesia is a Greek word translated as “church” in the New Testament. It literally means “assembly” or “gathering,” and refers to the congregation of God’s people. In Scripture, ekklesia represents both the local gathering of believers and the universal body of Christ, united by faith in Jesus. The church is not a building; it is the people who belong to God, called out from the world to live as His followers.

Heavenly Father, thank You for calling us into Your family, the ekklesia, Your church. I am grateful to be part of a community of believers, each with unique gifts and talents. Help me to prioritize gathering with my brothers and sisters in Christ, not only for my own spiritual growth, but to encourage others. Give me a servant’s heart to contribute to the unity and strength of Your church. May we reflect Your love to the world as we gather and serve together. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
