📖 Scripture: Genesis 39:9-10

1. Temptation offers temporary pleasure with lasting consequences.
2. Temptation takes us away from God’s favor and protection. 
3. Temptation makes poison taste sweet. 

💪 Application:
1. Escape from temporary pleasure. 
2. Endure suffering under God’s favor. 
3. Enjoy life within the boundary of God. 
   
🎙Discussion:
What is the importance of knowing that the goal of temptation is to take us away from God’s favor and protection? 

🙏 Prayer:
Father, I praise You for the truth that I am indestructible as long as I am under Your favor and protection. Satan cannot touch me, and he knows this truth. His strategy is to tempt me to sin and step outside Your safe boundaries. So, LORD, I ask that You enable me to escape Satan’s temptation. Do not allow me to be dragged into the wilderness and devoured by wild beasts. Let me enjoy life only within the safe boundary of Your truth. I would rather endure suffering under Your favor than enjoy pleasure outside Your protection. I pray this in Jesus’ name, amen!
