Why is humility the only way to go up?

🙏 Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come before You in humility, knowing that You oppose the proud but show favor to the humble. Help me to clothe myself with humility each day, seeking not my own glory, but to honor You in all that I do. I desire to chase after Your favor, not for selfish gain, but for Your honor. Teach me to commit myself fully under Your mighty hand, trusting that in due time, You will lift me up. Guide my steps and strengthen my heart to remain humble before You. In Jesus' name, amen!
