Why is it important to approach God with an expectant heart in prayer?

🙏 Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your abundant generosity. I am grateful that You are not stingy but delight in blessing Your children. Help me to approach You with an expectant heart, trusting in Your promise to hear and answer my prayers. Teach me to pray with faith, believing that You always know what is best for me. When Your answers differ from my desires, help me to trust in Your wisdom and sovereignty. I choose to believe in Your power to do great things and Your love that never fails. Thank You for being my faithful and loving God. I pray this in Jesus' name, amen!
