Why is it necessary to release forgiveness when you are hurt or wronged by other people?

🙏 Prayer:
Father, help me to forgive knowing that I have been forgiven in Christ. Enable me to release the desire for personal vengeance. I believe that You will bring about the justice that is needed. Teach me to wait upon Your plan, knowing that Your ways are higher than mine. In Jesus’ name, amen.
